Immerse yourself in the park’s unique ecosystem, which is home to impalas, Burchells zebras, topis, bushbucks, common duikers, oribis, Defassa waterbucks, Bofor reedbucks, buffalos, warthogs, bush-pigs, and hippos, amongst others. Keep an eye out for the majestic eland herds and sitatunga in the swampy areas of the park, while the vervet monkey and olive baboon are the only two diurnal primates you’ll find in Lake Mburo. As the sun sets, listen to the nocturnal calls of the spotted hyena and catch a glimpse of the elusive leopard, side-striped jackal, white-tailed mongoose, and the three otter species that call the lakes home. Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: On arrival at Entebbe, Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for a Game Drive Safari 

Arrive at Entebbe airport and start your 3 Days Lake Mburo and Source of River Nile Jinja safari with a briefing on the  safari and what to expect from our company representative, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park which is a 4hrs drive, we drive heading to southwestern Uganda. En route, there is a local community popular for making local drums and crafts and a fruit market. Stopover, admire and buy yourself souvenirs. Proceed to the Equator line taken as one beautiful scenery in Africa  the pathway of the sun and take photographs. Early afternoon, arrive in Lake Mburo for a lunch in the park grounds as you marvel at the game and birds within the park. Take a game drive in the afternoon and look out for Zebras, Topis, Buffalo,Elland, Impala, Water Hogs, Water Bucks etc.

Day 2: Go for a Boat cruise on lake Mburo and later a brief game drive in Lake Mburo National Park and Transfer to Kampala for Overnight

Begin your day with an early breakfast, and then head to the nearby Rwonyo Park Headquarters for a short boat ride on Lake Mburo. As you cruise the serene waters, keep an eye out for hyenas returning to their dens, hippos heading back to the water, and other wildlife such as buffalos, zebras, impalas, topis, and, if you’re lucky, the rare sitatunga antelope found in the papyrus swamps. After the boat ride, enjoy a delicious lunch before embarking on a game drive to Kazuma, a lookout point that offers breathtaking views of nine of the lakes surrounding the park. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to spot many of the animal species that inhabit Lake Mburo National Park. Although the walk to Kazuma Lookout Point is steep, it is short and incredibly rewarding, and not to be missed.

As we journey back to Kampala, we’ll traverse a magnificent hilly country and lush cultivation, with a stop at the Equator for photographs and a polar-water experiment. We’ll also visit a local community renowned for making local drums (Mpabire Village), gardens, crafts shops, and fruit markets. Finally, we’ll arrive in Kampala late in the evening and check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Drive from Kampala to Jinja four the Source of the Nile and White Water Rafting activities on the Nile (Kalagala falls) and later transfer back to Kampala and Entebbe airport for your Departure.

Start your day with an early breakfast before embarking on an adventure-filled journey with our Gorilla Safaris Uganda driver guide to Kayunga /Jinja. Upon arrival you will go and check out the source of the Nile and later, prepare for an exciting white water rafting experience, starting with a thorough briefing and fitting of life jackets and helmets. The rafting takes place on a 10-kilometer stretch of the Nile River, with the initial rapids being low grade (1,2) to build up clients’ confidence. As the river winds its way through stunning scenery, the rafts will be expertly guided into the mighty challenges of the best grade 5 rapids on the Nile. Brace yourself for an adrenaline rush as you navigate through eight major rapids and lower graded runs, ensuring an unforgettable adventure.

After the exhilarating rafting experience, we’ll return to Kampala in the evening before transferring you to Entebbe for your flight back home.
