Fort Portal is a rural town famous for its weaving and basketry, and you’ll have the opportunity to briefly examine some of the local art.

In the afternoon, you’ll visit a nearby forest swamp that is ideal for viewing other primates apart from chimpanzees and other forest animals. The Bigodi Wetland sanctuary, maintained by the local community, is located at the eastern edge of Kibale forest and is home to birds such as the great blue turaco, blue monkeys, baboons, otters, mongoose, bush bucks, and bush pigs, among others.
